APPLETS
An applet is any small application that performs one specific task; sometimes running within the context of a larger program or html page or website as a plug-in. At DigitalWeb, we have a number of applets, also called weblets. They exist as independent applications, which are plugged or integrated into websites on demand. This approach improves speed and efficiency of delivering functional or dynamic websites.
Some of the applets run as services i.e. they are SAAS (Software as a Service, also called Software on Demand). In this case the applet is not built into the website, rather it is hosted independently on the web and accounts created on it for various websites. The output is then fed into the website. To the customer however there are no visible differences between the 2 approaches. Another advantage of the applet methodology is that it can be plugged in or integrated into a website that was not designed by DigitalWeb with relative ease.

Summary Description of Components
This enables an organization to publish news items on their websites. News items including new executive hires, expansion, new clients etc can be published. The news contents can be seamlessly added or removed by a staff of the company without any programming knowledge. An expiry date can also be added for news items so they seize to display automatically at the preset date.
The Newsletter allows for creation and sending out of periodic information by organizations. The information can be in form of reports, news, magazines, product information etc. Examples include stock market reports, market intelligence reports, product reports, promotional messages, event reports etc. The Newsletters are sent via email to users that have registered on the Newsletter database via the website. Email addresses can also be added on the database by the administrator.
Online Enquiry Forms allows visitors to an organizations website to undergo a registration process. The registration can be for any purpose as the organization may desire. Registration Forms can be sectionalized for ease of navigation.
This function provides an animated picture gallery that will display an organizations activities and events. New pictures can be easily uploaded from time to time by a staff of the organization without any programming. The pictures in the Gallery also come with description.
This allows Job Applicants to submit their resumes or Curriculum Vitae online. This removes the hassles of sorting paper applications by the Human Resource Department. It also allows the Human Resource Manager to search and filter resumes, getting suitable candidates according to predefined criteria.
This is a Realtor Management Application which allows Estate Agents to display properties for rent, lease or sale. It comes with a variety of user friendly and descriptive functionalities. It is easy to administer. New properties can be added seamlessly by a staff of the organization without any programming knowledge.
Online Enquiry/Request for Service
This is a tool that enables stakeholders make online request or enquiry for products and services of an organization. The tool is capable of handling multiple products and services of an organization. Upon submission, the request is stored in the database and also an email is sent to a staff of the company in charge of the selected product or service. Multiple emails addresses can be set as recipient for a single product. Also based on the selected product or service a different form can be displayed to capture the request as it relates to the selected item.
